Built for the vehicle, not adapted to it
A tray that was designed for a different vehicle and made to fit yours will tell on you eventually. Mounting points end up in compromised places, the headboard sits wrong against the cab, and anything you bolt on later has to work around those decisions.
We build the tray around your cab chassis from the start. That means the deck length, the headboard, the tie down points and the mounting positions are set for your vehicle and the load you put on it. If a canopy or a rack set is coming later, we would rather know now and put the mounts where they need to be.
Everything is fabricated here in Brisbane from aluminium, which keeps the weight down against steel and keeps payload where it is useful to you. We have been manufacturing vehicle products in Brisbane for over 30 years and the trays are made in the same workshop as our racks and bars.
Trays, and everything that goes on them
Most people do not want just a tray. They want a tray that works with a ladder rack, or a canopy over the back, or toolboxes down the side, and they want those things to line up rather than be an afterthought.
Because we make the trays, the racks, the canopies and the toolboxes ourselves, we can build them as one job. That is usually the difference between a setup that looks like it was planned and one that looks like it was assembled from three suppliers.
If you already have a tray and want to add to it, that is fine too. Bring it in or send us photos and measurements and we will tell you honestly whether what you want will work with what you have.

The most useful thing you can tell us first is the make, model and year of the vehicle and what you are carrying. From there we can talk about what actually suits, including telling you when something you have asked for is not worth the money.
Common questions
- How long does a ute tray take to build?
- It depends on the tray and how much is going on it. A straightforward alloy tray moves faster than a tray with a canopy, drawers and a rack set. Ring us with your vehicle and what you need on it and we will give you a realistic timeframe before you commit, not after.
- Will it fit my cab chassis?
- Trays are made to suit the vehicle rather than pulled off a shelf, so the tray is built around your cab chassis, wheelbase and mounting points. Tell us the make, model and year and we will confirm what suits before anything is cut.
- Can I add a canopy, toolboxes or a rack later?
- Yes, and it is worth telling us up front even if you are not buying it now. Knowing a canopy or a rack is coming changes where we put the mounting points, which saves modifying the tray later.
- Do you only supply Brisbane?
- The workshop is at Seventeen Mile Rocks and a lot of our work is local, but we manufacture and supply beyond Brisbane as well. If you are outside the area, get in touch and we will sort out the details.
